The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program: – The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program brings international secondary school teachers to the United States for six weeks of professional learning at a host university. Participants will attend academic seminars, observe and co-teach U.S. classrooms, and work on educational best practices with educators and students from host universities and local high schools. Participants will participate in various civic and cultural activities in the host community to promote mutual understanding.
The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program
Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement participants participate in academic seminars at host universities focused on topics such as new teaching methods, student-centered learning, instructional techniques, and content-based instruction. To do. Participants will complete at least 40 hours of field training with a U.S. partner educator in the same or similar field at a local high school. Participants will also learn about the United States and its host communities through a variety of cultural activities. Applicants can choose the general program or apply to cohorts focused on gender, media literacy, and climate education.

Program Features and Benefits
if you are currently a full-time, secondary-level educator living and working in one of the participating Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement countries or territories, then you can take part in it. You can explore new teaching methodologies, to develop your skills with instructional technology, and learn about the U.S. educational system.
Eligibility
- Must be an English, math, science, and/or special education teacher in these subjects in a setting that primarily serves a local population.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Must have completed at least three years of full-time teaching experience at the beginning of the program.
- Reside and work in the country at the time of application and program participation.
- Achieve a minimum score of 450 on her paper-based TOEFL or a score of 45 or above on her internet-based TOEFL.
